EXISTING SAFETY MEASURES IN PLACE
SA Health have issued guidelines on regarding managing the risk of Covid-19 exposures within a Veterinary clinic. As a result we are trying to minimise two key issues:
a. the health risks to our staff, clients and visitors to the Clinic, and
b. long periods spent away from the Clinic by staff on personal leave
In accordance with our aim to provide high levels of care to our patients we are taking the following steps to protect both you, your family and our team:
We ask that only TWO HEALTHY people attend appointments with your pet to minimise contact in the consulting rooms and reception area. Masks are optional.
1. When you make an appointment please let the reception staff know the purpose of your visit and any additional concerns or requests you may have.
2. When you arrive at the Clinic make a note of which number car park you are in and make your way into the Clinic.
3. Advise the front desk staff of your arrival and the name of your animal.
4. Let the front desk know where you would like to wait, either in the waiting room, on the front verandah, at the rear of the building adjacent the grassed area, or in your car.
5. When your Vet is ready, a veterinary nurse will invite you and your pet(s) into the appropriate consultation room.
6. Once in the consultation room, please take a seat and both the Vet and the nurse will ensure your pet is handled safely.
These safety measures are in place to ensure that we can stay open and continue to provide the care that you and your pets need.
We ask that you follow the health recommendations of the Government - if you are experiencing flu-like symptoms please stay at home and organise someone else to bring your pet to our Clinic.
